In-Edit Films Presents:

With the intention of discovering the secret of the longevity of one of the first festivals in this country, the Altaveu of Sant Boi de Llobregat, this film gathers personal experiences from its 30-year history.

This review of the unique history of the Altaveu festival is set in its current
30th anniversary edition and at the same time, looks towards the future. We get immersed in its history through the personal experiences of workers and musicians directly connected to it, as well as those of journalists and spectators. In this way, it circumvents a merely historical story to construct a multifaceted, experiential and emotional narrative that highlights the close relationship between the music of the city of Sant Boi and its inhabitants, and this inevitably sparks debate about what the role of public festivals should be in the current context. All this without losing sight of the real star, music, through some of the performances of the last two editions of the festival, which featured artists such as El Petit de Cal Eril, Anna Ferrer, Ferran Palau, Mali’s Vieux Farka Touré or France’s Morgane Ji.
